The VIP red carpet for the Disneyland premiere of Michael Jackson as \"Captain Eo\" took place on Saturday, September 13, 1986. After the ribbon cutting by George Lucas, Francis Coppola and Anjelica Houston, the crowd then moved into the Magic Eye Theater for the performance of \"Captain Eo.\"

In connection with this specific invitation, there would be an additional press preview (also for radio DJ\'s) the following Thursday night, September 18, as attended by Michael Jackson, his mother Katherine Jackson, and several family members and friends of the Jackson family... along with Michael\'s mentor, friend and producer Quincy Jones.
