Presented is a fantasticset of 8 ceramic porcelain or china dinner plates with cobalt blue aprons and awhite centerwith what I\'ve been told by a kind er is a hand painted armorial orfamilycrestfor Sir Alexander Malet, 2nd Baronet and his wife, Marianne Dora Spaldingin the center all highlighted with arich gold color detailing scalloped edge. These beautiful plates have what Ibelieve to be a Baronal or Ducal crest comprised of three main banners baring remarkablehand painted details. They have a beautiful gold rim that offset a lovelycobalt blue apron and marked on the back for English Porcelain by Bow ceramicand Porcelain Company who wereactive c. 1747-1764, and closed c1776. This fabulous set over 200 years old has a rich patina ofcrazing seen in the white portions and one plate has a chip on the underside towardthe edge of rim and one has a break and poor repair again toward the edge ofone rim. Please see pictures. This is abeautiful set with a rich history and an elegant design. It is a great additionfor the collector porcelain and ceramics.
