A very attractive and usable harlequin set of six antique Georgian Old English pattern silver teaspoons, three pairs, produced by the renowned London family of silversmiths, Bateman, of London England. Two pairs are marked HB for Hester Bateman and dated 1782 and 1784. The other pair are marked PB,AB,WB. for Peter, Anne and William Bateman and dated 1803-4.The spoons came to us as a set, obviously from the same family with the surname initial \"H\", but from different branches, the pairs are engraved H-TA, H-TR and H-RM.They are in excellent condition for their age with little wear, just a minor knocks and marks to some of them as you would expect to see.PAW pair are 5 inches L, 1\"W at the bowl, the HB pairs measure 4 5/8 and 4 3/4\"L and 7 /8 W. Total weight 71 grammes unpacked.
