For sale is a set of twelve heavy Austro-Hungarian 800silver pattern ice cream spoons. The spoonsare 5 3/8 inches long and together weigh a hefty 436 grams. The shovel-shaped bowls have gilded interiors. A monogram or crest has been burnished offthe backs of the handles. They aremarked on the bowl backs with an Austro-Hungarian empire 800 standard mark andan unusual bird-like mark. 9 are marked[STERN], and 3 are marked [A.BACHRUCH], likely retailer marks.<P>

Condition on the spoons is fair. All have had a monogramburnished off the handle backs, and there is some wear to the gilding. One has an unusual deep but small divot inthe bowl as well. Still an impressiveset of ice cream spoons!<P>
