Beautiful set of four sterling silver collector’s plates issued by The National Audubon Society and distributed by The Franklin Mint commemorating the art of James Fenwick Lansdowne. This is the complete set of 4 plates that were produced in this series. Each plate is sealed in white hinged boxes with number Certificates of Authority and informative brochure. The plates measure approximately 8 inches in diameter. This set includes: “The Goldfinch,” “The Wood Duck,” “The Cardinal,” and “The Ruffed Grouse.” Each scene is etched in a solid sterling silver plate. They are in mint condition and would make a nice addition to your collection.
The plates are double boxed. One inner hinged box and an outer 2-part box.There is some signs of age on the vinyl grain on the outer boxes from shelf storage, but no tears or defects in the inner hinged boxes.
(2 of the boxes were in the original cardboard box that they were shipped in and never opened.)
