For your consideration is a beautiful set of four KINGS CROWN CONCH SHELLS. ~ Melongena Corona ~ FLORIDA
Beautiful shades of cream, tan, gray, and brown.
Perfect for your nautical decor, carving, crafting, shell lamps, or nice specimens for your seashell collection.
MEASUREMENTS:
1) 3 3/4\" long, 2 3/4\" wide. 2) 3 1/4\" long, 2 1/2\" wide. 3) 3\" long, 2\" wide. 4) 2 3/8\" long, 1 5/8\" wide.
WEIGHTS: 1) 2.8 oz. 2) 2.3 oz. 3) 1.2 oz. 4) 0.7 oz. (13 ounces packed for shipping - Packing peanuts used)I would say these shells are in VERY GOOD CONDITION. However, I\'m not an expert on shells so I\'ll let you be the judge of that! ****SEE PHOTOS**** Please view each photo very carefully as they serve as a large part of the description. Top spirals are in nice shape. Some natural wear to points and tips, tiny little holes from micro organisms, etc. - The tips are broken on a few points of shell #2. Some edges are chipped, etc. Nothing that detracts from the overall appearance. Photos will show details I may not have spotted or mentioned.ODDS & ENDS: These are vintage seashells. I purchased a basket of seashells almost 20 years ago from an elderly couple. They were having an estate sale to downsize. The wife told me they purchased the shell(s) when they were younger and still traveling. So I don\'t know the exact age, but I do know these shells are found in Florida. I used them in a display in our SCUBA shop, but we\'ve closed our doors and it\'s time for Mother Nature\'s treasures to go to a new home.
