Sheffield, England - KINGS PATTERN - Mint 4+ troy oz.

This is a lovely rare set ofSIX STUNNING solid sterling silver tea or coffee spoonswhich were made in Sheffield, England in 1988 by the illustrious Victorian silversmiths, Francis Howard at their Trafalgar Street workshops. They are in the double struck KING\'S PATTERN design and are NOT engraved to the handles or bowls. Each is over 5 1/8\" long overall and the bowls measure 1 1/8\" wide. Each weighs21.8 grams - making a total weight ofalmost4 1/4troy oz.

They are in very good condition with much less than the usual surface scratching - see photograph - and, unusually, NO dings and dents between the set - they are in near MINT condition - SUPERB. They are each hallmarked on therear of the bowl with FH, rose, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark),O showing that they were each hallmarked in Sheffield in 1988. I have shown the hallmarks so that you can make up your own mind. They come in their original box. A very rare set ofSIX STUNNING spoons in MINT condition after almost 30 years at a very low start!!!
