This is a beautiful set of 2 clear hand blown glass antique apothecary bottles with faceted cut glass stoppers that are frosted on the stopper (as well as the interior neck of bottles). These bottles are both etched with numbers. The labels are in Spanish.
Bottle #1\"ELIX. DE FIERRO QUININ. Y ESTRICNINA\". This bottle translates into English as Elixir of Iron Quinine and Strychnine. This elixir was popular in the 19th century to combat paralysis, used inappropriately, it was a deadly poison. The number etched on this bottle stopper is \'23\'. The bottle is etched \'12\'.
