I recently found this great pair of beer mugs / steins at a local estate sale. They depict the characters Don Quixote and Sancho Panca - part of a large popular set of characters made by Royal Doulton in England, copyrighted in 1956, per the mark on the base of each mug. Each measures approx. 4 1/4\" high.

Condition is very good on both - no chips or cracks; they don\'t appear to have been used for anything but decor. There is one 1/2\" crazing line from age or heat (not visible through to the inside) on the base of Quixote. Looks like they spent all their life decorating a shelf somewhere. Great additions to any Doulton mug set!
