UP for sale is a very vintage Shalom of Safed print or lithograph or block print. It does show some fading in brown around the edges (see photos), but the colors are still very vibrant. I have looked up many other Shalom of Safed Prints/Paintings, and I have not see one with the block \"Shalom of Safed\" signature in the bottom left.
Under the Shalom of Safed stamped signature is \"signed in stone\" and (c) D. Doron, N.Y.C. 79. No edition numbering so that\'s why this one may be unique!
The paper itself measures 20 inches by 14 inches, and the colored areas within the black lines measures 12 inches by 19 inches. I am sure the brown coloring from fading around the edges can be cleaned away by an expert.
The paper is very thick, and there is a \"1\" in the bottom left corner too. There are also pencil writings on the bottom right that say \"18 3/4 x 23 1/4\" \"B (Groar?) and \"263+ I don\'t know why those are there. There is tape and tape marks on the back.Good luck offerding on this vintage piece
