There are 2 fantastic items in this lot fromthe famous Shamrock Hotel in Houston Texas. They are from the opening weeksof the Shamrock Hotel in 1949. The menu cover features Dorothy Lamour, who was the Grand Opening Entertainer. Her show was broadcast live and had to cut off by the network for noise and expletivesThis is a large 4 page menu in menu cover and a 16 page wine list in a clipped in green cover. The Wine List has water colors by Oscar Fabres, maps by Don Hunter. The maps, charts and explanations in the wine list were prepared under the direction of Frank Scoonmaker and Tom Marvel. The wine list is dated 1949. The menu measures about 10\" x 14 1/2\" and the wine list measures about 8 3/4\" x 13 3/4\' when closed. Both in very nice condition.
