Up for sale is a great, though well loved Japanese lacquer box. The box has a great tsuba and heavily embossed motif. It is decorated with the embossing both inside and out. The box is signed in red on the bottom, however I am unable to read kanji so I do not know what it says, if anyone would be willing to read the writing for me it would be greatly appreciated!! Unfortunately, the box does have a great deal of wear including areas of loss, seams are starting to separate, edge wear, surface wear, wear to the decorative portion of the lid, and it looks like someone attempted to repair one of the corners. In spite of the box starting to separate it is still quite solid, and is not falling apart. The box measures approximately 5 3/8\" x 4 1/8\" by 1 7/8\" tall.
