Silver Case with Gilt Interior and Purple Guilloche, 1920/30s
This rectangular case was made in the 1920/30s in Austria of 935 silver. The interior is decorated with gilt and the wall shows on both sides a violet-colored guilloche glass flow. In the middle of the lid a golden star is surrounded by tendrils. The edges are decorated with a revolving border. The case is hallmarked inside with the purity ‘935’, the hoopoe head, further marks and ‘317’.
The condition is good with signs of age and wear. Little loss of material at the back as well as scratches and nicks are visible. The length measures 7.5 cm and the depth is 5 cm
