This is a diminutive vinaigrette but displays superb craftsmanship. Superb engraving.
Good hinges to both box and lid. Everything closes smoothly. Gilt washed interior. The inside hallmarks of a duty head, makers initials ES, and date letter for 1846. The back of the grille carries a duty head and the inside base caries the assay lion, initials ES and the Birmingham anchor. Weighs 6.9gms. 25mm x 15mm x 7mm. No damage.
