This fine silver and niello Imperial Russian snuff box is clearly a Russian Trompe-l’œi design. The case is marked with the Imperial Russian hallmark “84” silver, the date “1869” and a maker’s mark, “Hф\". It measures 3 1/2 inches by 2 inches. Gilt interior. Modest wear, otherwise, fine condition. The box weighs 78 grams.
