Founded in 1952 by Bob and Jan Simpich, SimpichCharacter Dolls Ltd. created iconic Americana-style figurine dolls includingcarolers, angels, Santas and even storybook figures like Tom Sawyer and HuckFinn. The couple made their first dolls from found materials because theycouldn’t afford store-bought gifts. Jan and Bob retired in 2006, closing downthe business in2007.

He is standing on a wood base, reading theBible while smoking his pipe. The passage he is reading is Isaiah 9:6 His cat is at his feet and theyare standing on a hand-crocheted rug.This Simpich Santa doll is in excellentcondition and comes from a smoke-free home; please note the photographs. The paper sticker came off of the base but is in great shape and can bereattachedif wanted. Justin time for Christmas.

This impressive collectibleis 14 inches high, 9 inches wide at the base and 8.5 inches deep.
