SimpichCharacter Doll \"War Cry\" Salvation Army Woman, 1988. Limited Edition #212/1500.
Very good condition with no dirt, lightnicks (pictured and measured)but no significant damage.
This vintage Simpich figure measures 12 inches tall with the base. She is a rare and hard to find example of the Simpich characters. This limited edition doll was requested for the Centennial of the Rocky Mountain region of the Salvation Army. For every doll purchased, a portion of the proceeds was donated to the Salvation Army.
She is dressed in authentic Salvation Army blue cloth in the style of the early 1900s. Her red cape is closed at the neck with two tiny buttons. Her \"War Cry\" book cover is an actual reproduction of a 1918 copy. Her food basket represents the giving spirit of the Salvation Army. Her basket holds an assortment of foods on a white linen cloth. Her molded bonnet has a red ribbon emblazoned with \"The Salvation Army\" and is tied with a large ribbon at the side. She would look great as a single display or with a group of thecarolers.
These handmade dolls are known for their meticulous production and are especially collectible since they are no longer in production and are irreplaceable. Please note the detail given to each doll.
