This is a Re-strike Photogravure from the original copper plate, circa 1980-82; the image dimensions are 15.5 x11.5 inches.
Framed with archival matting and archival acetate.
This re-strike preceded those made by the Curtis Collection Organization; it was done by an Italian engraver, but his work was too expensive.The paper is like a cross between the original papers, that is, the Van Gelder soft white and the \'amber\' Japan velum.
