This is another mansion house or forest dwarf by the outstanding porcelain factory Sitzendorf of Germany. These dwarfs are misshapen figures with humpbacks and squat bodies. This guy is a messenger of some kind with a penned in his right hand. In those days it contained a message rolled up and a pen to answer it by the receiver. He is marked on the bottom by the Sitzendorf blue under glaze mark. It is 5\" tall and measures 3 1/2 across from elbow to hand. Round base is 2\" in diameter. No chips, cracks or repairs. All fingers are intact. This is fine quality porcelain.
