This EMBOSSING FOLDERSHIM is an amazing tool. It letsyouextend the creativityof your embossing folder in severalways. Shown with a card so you can see how this embossing tool works (foryour inspiration only).

To create the outside embossed area (frame),select the embossing folder you wish to use to emboss the outer edges around the oval. I used the\"musical notes\" embossing folder on one of the pictured cards and I used the starburst embossing folder on the other. I cut out a heart opening so, the embossing wasdone on the frame surrounding the heart leaving the bottom oval smooth so I could stamp \"Friend\" and the rose in the smooth oval space.The bottom smooth oval is perfect for adding a sentiment.

How to use: Place your cardstock inside the embossing folder of your choice (A2 size). When you create your sandwich to crank through the machine, place the shim on top of the embossing folderin place of the top embossing plate- it replaces the topembossing plate.Center the shim so the oval opening at the bottom is where you want to stamp your image or sentiment, and thencrank it through the machine. It will emboss only where the shim touches the folder - around the outer edges of the cardstock- leaving an unembossedbottom oval. You can stamp in thisareaif you want or emboss another image in this area - whatever you choose to do.

To emboss the small oval area only

use the small oval shim only. Place the small oval over the embossing folder you wish to use (with cardstock inside). You might want to use a border embossing folder oremboss a sentiment (like \"with love\") or a smaller embossed image, then crank the sandwich through your machine.You willembossonly underthe small oval shim leaving the previous embossed image you created intact.

Third idea - use the small oval shim to embossimages in multiple locations on your card front. Just place the oval wherever you wish to emboss, crank it through the machine, then move to the next position and crank it through again.Lots of options, only limited by the imagination. For example: you could emboss an image at the top of your card front, move the oval for the next embossing and emboss a sentiment at the bottom. Very handy.

These embossing folder shims extend the useof your embossing foldersinthese 3ways.....and probably more.
