A nice reproduction example of a footed minnow trap, this example has \"Montana Bait Co Rock Creek MT\" in raised lettering. IT also has a Fish shape raised in the glass.
As you can see the piece is the standard pig shape footed form with wire constructed footing and a threaded metal cap/lid.
Traps such as this were placed on stream beds with minnows being forced into the trap by currents then unable to escape through the small holes in the cap.
A great vintage fishing accessory that would look great in any tackle display or on the shelf of a Adirondack style home or camp.
