This is a SmokyAmethyst point. Has a huge keyed area, where another crystal was located but not grown together leaving its impression. Has odd growth with a bit of damaged sections. Sitting on a thin matrix plate that was once small druse crystals. It is from Diamond Hill in South Carolina.

Diamond Hill is located in upper part of South Carolina. Overmillions of years, erosion has occured to the southern part of the Appalachian Mountains. This has exposed a small 3 acre spot full of some of the widest variety quartz crystals in the world, known as Diamond Hill!
