No Price Stickers! In the span of a few months in 1972, Denis Kitchen and Krupp Comic Works launched three major underground comics anthologies: Snarf, Bizarre Sex and Death Rattle. The first of those was Snarf, which debuted in February with work from Tim Boxell, Evert Geradts and Wendel Pugh among others (including Kitchen). The second issue added Peter Poplaski, Richard \"Grass\" Green and featured an awesome Jay Lynch cover. The first four issues came out in a little over a year, added Joel Beck and Howard Cruse as contributors, and scored a major triumph with front-cover art by Will Eisner (featuring the Spirit). The end of the golden age of underground comix in 1973 hit Kitchen Sink pretty hard, but they survived a couple rough years and emerged as a smarter publishing company. In 1975 Krupp Comic Works was dissolved and the publishing imprint of Kitchen Sink Enterprises reformed as Kitchen Sink Press, Inc. Snarf didn\'t come out with its sixth issue until two years after its fifth, but buoyed by brand recognition it resumed publishing a new issue about once a year through the \'70s.This lot is for the full run of 15 issues of Snarf. These copies are all first printings (only #4 and #6 had multiple printings) and have no price stickers. After the main group photo, the scans show the front covers of the first 8 books in sequential order and #10, 12 and 14. Tough run to put together in this condition! These are solid, mid-to-high-grade copies, grading from VG/FN 5.0 to VF/NM 9.0 as detailed below:

All comics are individually bagged and boarded. This set will ship in a medium flat-rate Priority Mail box at well under my cost. No combined shipping for this lot.I am not a professional grader but attempt to grade books based on standard Overstreet guidelines. My grading is fairly conservative, particularly at the high end of the spectrum, but your grading may be more conservative. I can only say that I try to be consistent and you will likely find that my grades are within one full grade of your own.
SHIPPING: I don\'t ship comics by Media Mail anymore. It\'s just too risky, as USPS has become more vigilant about checking and restricting Media Mail. The last thing you want is to receive a notice that your shipment is available at the Post Office but there is postage due for retail ground shipping costs because the package did not qualify for Media Mail. I would refund your costs, but of course, but it ends up being a big hassle for both you and me. FIRST CLASS MAIL: I can ship 4 or 5 standard comic books (or 1 or 2 magazines) by first-class package in a cardboard envelope. This is a great, economic, quick and safe way to ship comics. Above 4 or 5 comic books or 2 magazines (sometimes even 1 magazine), things are too heavy for first-class mail.RETAIL GROUND, FEDEX and PRIORITY MAIL: For 5 or more comic books or 3 or more magazines, I offer options for USPS Parcel Select Ground, FedEx SmartPost, FedEx Ground, or Priority Mail. I use calculated shipping because it\'s the cheapest method for buyers. I offer the maximum of 4 options because different methods will be cheaper for different zones. With larger quantities, it\'s cheaper to go with flat-rate Priority Mail. I set a maximum of $11.99 on shipping (less than my discounted cost) for most listings. Larger sets of comic books will be shipped in sturdy boxes with padding and I will offer plenty of options. COMBINED SHIPPING: Under most circumstances, I will combine shipping for multiple wins. Combined shipping discounts are automatically applied for listings that are eligible for my promotional shipping rule. I will also combine shipping with large sets even though will not automatically calculate the combined shipping cost. Just contact me or wait until I get a chance to send you a new invoice with combined shipping discounts. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: As a standard practice, I ship to the United States only. International locations may contact me prior to close of offerding to arrange a special exception and shipping cost. If you do not contact me before close of offerding, no exception will be made. International shipping is a pain (including \'s Global Shipping program) and I try to avoid it at all costs.
