A beautifulsolid silver card case (originally might have been a cherootcase?) with hallmarks to both sides on the gilt interior retailer of Henry Williamson Ltd of Birmingham, the Anchor of Birmingham, the lion of sterling silver, and the date letter (l) for 1910.Deeply engraved, with monogram, the engraving has punctured the casing in two points, allowing a business card to be exhibited exterior to the case if desired. The snap shut catch works perfectly, with no evidence of wear or loosening whatsoever.
The case measures 80mm x 58mm x 18mm and weighs an impressive 54 grammes
The elasticated retainers, one missing but easily replaced, the other worn, but fully serviceable.
