Description

This is a solid silver card case in the form of a book with great detail to engraving of the pages and binding and front and back cover in Islamic form. A clever lever opening operated by depressing a button on the side.

Height 3 3/4\" (9.5 cm). Width 2 7/8\" (7.25 cm). Weight 77gms.

Marked with a head of Queen Victoria and the initials GU (George Unite - an English silversmith from Birmingham 1832-1865).

In very good condition. One minor shallow dent on the front, some surface scratches and a nick to the bottom edge (please see photos).
