A top quality maker from the Georgian period. All marks are crisp & clear on thelid.The Vinaigretteis arectangular, canted cornershape withexteriorleafengraving to thelid and an engraved edge to thebase. It has a central Cartouche to the lid not engraved/personalised. The grill is an unusual figure of 8 pierced shape, it isof excellent quality. There is very little wear to the gilded interior. There is no play in the hingesand the lid closessnugly after 200+ years.The Vinaigretteis from a private collection.
