A Good Georgian Sterling Silver Jug. Made in London, in 1738, by William Cripps. A Classic Style baulster form Jug . Wavy edge Border and a leaf capped double scroll Handle. Made in a heavy weight of silver. Flamboyant rococo decoration around leg tops, quite rubbed.
The Marks: Rubbed, makers mark worn.
The Jug: Good Condition, small split in rim. Decoration rubbed, Front cartouche just visible with erasure.
Height: Four inches 10.2cm
