Cosmonauts.5¼” x 7 ½” color photograph of earth from space signed on the reverse by fivecosmonauts: Pavel Belyayev (1925-1970),Georgy Beregovoy (1921-1995), Valery Bykovsky (1934- ), Alexei Leonov (1934- ) andValentina Tereshkova (1937- ). Belyayev was the first commander of thecosmonaut corps and the cosmonaut who commanded the historic Voskhod 2 missionwhich saw the first man walk in space in 1965. Beregovoy commandedthe space mission Soyuz 3 in 1968. Bykovsky flew three manned space missionspace flights: Vostok 5, Soyuz 22, and Soyuz 31. Leonov became the firsthuman to conduct extravehicular activity (EVA), exiting the capsule during theVoskhod 2 mission for a 12-minute spacewalk and Tereshkova is the first womanto have flown in space, having been selected to pilot Vostok 6 in June 1963. She completed 48 orbits of theEarth in her three days in space.
