This is a CASE ONLY for a Daguerrotype or Ambrotype - no photo, glass, matt, etc. It is damaged but I think it\'s special enough that one of you skilled in repair will want to restore it. The case is 3 1/2\" x 3 3/4\" x 5/8\" and takes an image 2 3/4\" x 3 3/8\". It is covered in green velvet with metal leaves attached. There is what appears to be a lock with keyhole on the front but actually it is just a latch you can open with your fingernail. The locking flap it separated from the rest of the case and the wood image frame has a side broken free but still attached to the case. There are a few other flaws, but with care they are all repairable and you will have a beautiful case. If you do this kind of work it will be a challenge but well worth it.Payment:
