We are pleased to offer a pair of beautiful antique box frames done in the Eastlake style. Each frames a hand painted water color - one of irises in white and grays with sagey green leaves. The second is a branch of cherry blossoms in red and white on black and gray limbs. Both are painted on gilded paper.

The mats are hand cut, painted and decorated with metallic paper borders and floral garlands. The frames are walnut with ebony insets and each has Eastlake style carvings in each corner and the innermost layer is gilded with a design of bars and ovals. This is truly a spectacular pair of paintings with interests that will please collectors from several genres.

Condition: Very good to excellent - a very few scratches are visible on the frames.

Size:Frames are 12\" x 14\", glass area 7 1/2\" x 9 5/8\" and artwork 3 3/4\" x 5 1/4\".
