Amost elegant and decorative vintage chandelier in bronze.
Thewide ceiling rosehas beautifully swirled fluting from the centrewith theoutside encircled with richly embossed swathes of foliage givinga slightly scalloped rim and a single chain link attaches to the top of the central column.
A gorgeousundulating rose sits on a pedestal at the top of the central column. It has embossed plumes of feathers at the centre and on the rim, a design repeated throughout this light. The unusually tall and slender central columnhas a wealth of detailing throughout the length and sits on a plumed dome in the centre of the chandelier.
Thefive arms of the chandelier that radiate from the centre band are all beautifully enhanced with sweeping foliate scrolling along the length andat each endare thecandle cups all with the same decorative detailing as the rose on the central column. All are complete with faux candle sleeves.
The base of the chandelier has a larger applique of the rose and candle cups and is completed by a large bronze finial in the centre.
It is in excellent vintage condition and the bronzehas gained a warm golden patina over the years.
A superbly graceful and elegant light to grace any room with its vintage French charm.
