Up for sale is a very nice, antique Stanley Stean Engine for an old steam car. It appears to be in very good condition and appears to be complete. It has a serial number of 1038 which I believe to be from the 1904 era. I was given this information from The Stanley Shop in Pa. Nothing is frozen and everything moves. It has been sitting, untouched, in a heated basement for many years and most likely will have to be disassembled, cleaned, reassembled and adjusted prior to use. The bearings on the large cog wheel are too big for the drive shaft and will have to be sleeved or replaced with the proper bearings, which are readily available. The only old repair I see is on one of the arms and is shown in the photos. This should not affect the operation at all. I\'m an old man and would prefer that the engine gets picked up. I\'m not sure how I would box it up for shipping since it\'s pretty heavy. It measures approximately 31 1/2\" long x 10\" wide x 8\" high ( not including the drive gear ). The cogged drive gear in approximately 10\" in diameter. Since I have no way to test this engine, I\'m selling it as a parts unit, although it\'s much too nice to part out. The reserve is set at only $1500.00; very reasonable for this old engine.
