Mr. Spock and Capt. Kirk are both featured in small photos on the wild front cover, which depicts James T. left unconscious by a horned monster\'s vicious attack! Matters are so dire, in fact, that all that stands between the Captain and imminent death is Mr. Spock and his phaser! This comic is from the very first Star Trek comic book series, which was published by Gold Key. The interior is also excellent, with the plot managing to combine a monster, a diplomat, a disguised Klingon, and the fate of peace within the Federation. It reads like one of the original Trek TV episodes from the 1960s, and Mr. Spock must exhibit the wisdom of Solomon to save the day. CONDITION: looks close to brand new. The book is glossy and brilliantly colorful, with nice pages. Due to some extremely slight wear visible upon careful scrutiny (including a very tiny \"one quarter of an inch\" cover tear), we grade it VERY FINE-.
