From the Neck or Tail area this small osteoderm / scute armor plate has two small portions missing one probably still part of another fossil piece or ? Other may have broken off years ago from the fossil it self.

See pics 90% complete has only been cleaned no sealer has been added although it would probably look a lil better with two layers.

Yes Missouri had dinosaurs as well as its neighboring states. I don\'t think they had a border patrol back then....and the seas and shorelines dried up long before the extinctions. After the dinosaurs the big mammals moved in the area also from giant Beavers to Mastodons etc...

Just a few dinosaur fossils have been found or even searched for guess it\'s easier to just go to areas like Hells Creek. Where chances of finding something are much greater.
