1990 Margarete Steiff Soft Mohair Black Cub10 inches tall, this bear is from a limited edition of 2000, made exclusively for the fine toy store FAO Schwarz in New York City.
This particular bear is numbered 814 on his white ear tag and wears a porcelain medallion.
The bear is made of the finest plush mohair, has brown glass eyes, a leather-type nose and paw pads, and is in sitting position, not jointed.Although never displayed and new, the cardboard box has slightly warn corners and the plastic top is cracked through on two corners as well.
All those plastic tops cracked, so Steiff stopped using them.
Cub comes with a porcelain medallion and a certificate. No pet or smoke odors. Please check out my other Steiff sales!
