Rare-Earth Element, f2.8 Custom Stereo Realist.
The first f2.8 Stereo Realists to be produced were made with the Ektar lenses, but within two years,
Realist switched to less expensive lenses labeled David White Anastigmats, which were American made or later,
German made, but otherwise unchanged throughout the entire production of the camera.
Today, the Stereo Realists with the Ektar lenses remain less common than the Custom Realists
and equally sought after by discerning Realist stereographers.
Thus, the demand and the price for cosmetically clean Ektar Realists continue to rise year after year,
yet become harder and harder to obtain as more and more people learn of its superior qualities.
