This is such a rare and beautiful sterling teapot. We have given many pictures to show all the wonderful details including the armorial crown. We believe that the date mark is for 1835. We find a number of London silversmiths who used a similar I T hallmark but we have not pinpointed one. The pot is elaborately made with many decorations. It weighs about 1 pound, 14 ounces on our digital scale. It is 10 inches tall and 11 inches from tip to handle. About condition. You should expect evidence of age and use but we have found no real damage except the tiny split in the spout and small dents in the bottom. The inside is quite dark. We cannot rule out other tiny undetected dents. We had two minor repairs made at Virginia Silversmiths in Lynchburg VA. You can check them on the web to be assured of the quality of their work. The insulators were loose so the pins were removed and redone to make them tight. The lid had minor waviness at the edge. That was corrected to allow it to sit properly.
