A rare and beautiful example of hand wrought Arts & Crafts jewelry by Chicago silversmith C. H. Didrich. According to the Silver Salon Forums web sight ( ), Carl H. Didrich was originally a silversmith for the renown Kalo silver shop during the the early decades of the 20th century, one of the most important hand wrought silver smitheries in the Arts & Crafts period. Didrich became a naturalized American citizen in 1922, and died in 1940. I did not find his place of birth, but it was likely to have been Norway or Sweden. His pieces are rare, often serving flatware. This piece is the only example of Didrich\'s jewelry I\'ve been able to find online. It was clearly a commissioned piece, given the \"B\" monogram, which very likely stood for \"Bradley\" or \"Berg\" as this bracelet was found among my family\'s heirlooms, and both names, one Irish and one Swedish, form parts of our heritage. The \"B\" is designed in a classic Arts & Crafts motif, and the bracelet itself is beautifully hand-hammered silver, and bares the rarer of Didrich\'s marks, as seen in the photo. It weighs .75 ounces. It\'s a lovely and historical piece, and I wish you good luck in your efforts to be the winning buyer!
