I bought these chains (2 different lengths) to interchange a few pendants that I have. The thickness is still dainty but sturdy. I bought this type of chain (curb chain) so it will not turn on it self or look tangled or twisted. It\'s beautiful with any of the other solid gold or gold plated jewelry I have. It\'s not too yellow or overly shiny. I may be buying another one of these in an 18 inch (I have the 20 and 22). They are great for layering. I sometimes even throw in a black satin cord necklace. I\'ve only had it for a few weeks but we\'ll see how the overlay stands the test of time. I don\'t wear them daily but I wear them often. Glad I got this, it\'s exactly what I needed for a price I can afford.

This is a pretty, simple chain that isn\'t just \"gold-plated\" junk. I work at a bead store where we retail gold-plate chain. Plating wears off to whatever the base metal it\'s actually made of- but this is solid sterling, so it will always be a quality product!
