Clearly hallmarked, this sterling ha’pint made by Thomas Cooke II and Richard Gurney is in very good condition with a slight dent to the foot rim and minuscule dents in the cup. The coat of arms bears the motto fortesfur tuna juvattranslated“fortune favors the bold.” the original owner’s marks can be seen alongside the hallmarks. It also bears a commemorative inscription in the foot rim whengiven or dedicated to Egbert Arnold Hans de Ruiter in 1937. It measures 3 7/8” high, is 4” at the widest point, and 2 1/16” across the base.
