Sterling Silver Three Piece Tea Service - Queen Anne Style - Antique Edwardian

A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver three piece tea service/set in the Queen Anne style; an addition to our silver teaware collection

This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver three piece tea service has been modelled in the Queen Anne style.

The lower portion of the teapot, teapot spout, cream jug and sugar bowl is embellished with embossed fluted decoration.

The upper portion of each piece of this Edwardian tea service is plain and unembellished.

The teapot is fitted with a domed flush hinged hallmarked cover, which also features fluted decoration; the flush hinge indicated the high quality of this service.

The cover is surmounted by the original carved painted wood and sterling silver urn style finial.

The teapot retains the original angular carved painted wood handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece.

The cream jug and sugar bowl have plain angular sterling silver handles ornamented with plain moulded decoration.

The sugar bowl and cream jug retains the original gilded interior.

Condition

This Edwardian tea service is an excellent gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks to the teapot cover are all very clear.
