An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver, straight Hanoverian Military Thread pattern flatware service for twelve persons made by Asprey & Co Ltd; an addition to our canteen of cutlery collection

The pieces of this fine antique George V sterling silver flatware service for twelve persons have been crafted in the Hanoverian Military Thread pattern.

The anterior surface of each fork and spoon handle is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of an arm embowed grasping in the hand a dagger entwined with a snake.

Each spoon and fork is further ornamented with a thread decorated border in addition to the Military Thread pattern scrolling ornamentation to the heel.

The fundamental pieces of this antique silver flatware service have been crafted by the renowned London silversmith Asprey & Co Ltd in 1921, apart from the table and dessert knives, which are replacements**, crafted by Barry Witmond in 2015.

These impressive examples of antique silverware are supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduces tarnishing.

Condition
