This is a roundish-shaped brooch made of and marked sterling silver depicting a coin of the mythical warrior Minerva. I have seen this exact depiction listed twice elsewhere and both times the brooches were made by Unger Bros. but the name of the warrior was different on each listing. I have seen this figure referred to as both Mercury and as Athena. The raised relief depicts a person in profile looking to the viewer\'sright, wearing a helmet with a winged dragon on top of the helmet. Coin jewelry has been collectible and popular from the beginning of time. This piece is perfect for either a collection or wearing. It has a 1.5\" diameter across and weighs over 11 grams. It has a rollover safety clasp and is in lovely condition. It is unsigned. I originally listed this piece without the name of the warrior. However, much to my surprise and joy, a guardian angel stepped forward and enlightened me as to the name of the person depicted - Minerva! Thank you!!
