Sterling Silver Spirit Tea Kettle - Queen Anne Style - Antique Edwardian

A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver spirit tea kettle made in the Queen Anne style; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection

This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver spirit tea kettle has a plain oval rounded form.

The lower portion of the body is embellished with fine and impressive fluted decoration, in the Queen Anne style.

One side of the kettle is ornamented with an impressive contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting an eagle behind a double ended spear.

This antique tea kettle is fitted with a flush hinged hallmarked cover, which also features fluted decoration; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece.

The cover retains the original and impressive carved wood and sterling silver urn style finial.

This fine example of antique teaware is fitted with an impressive shaped handle with fluted style ornamentation to either side of the central original carved wood handpiece.

The tea kettle is fitted with an impressive spout, ornamented to the underside with embossed fluted decoration.

The kettle detaches from the original hallmarked sterling silver stand supported by four impressive scroll decorated legs.

The stand is encircled with a pierced vertical pale decorated border.

The stand incorporates a plain frame with scrolling brackets, which retains the original hallmarked detachable spirit burner, encircled with further embossed fluted decoration; the decoration to this piece, in comparison to the surface remaining plain, is a sign of quality.

The kettle stand is fitted with the original chains and lobed hallmarked security pegs.

Condition

This antique tea kettle is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional condition.

The kettle has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface and part hallmarks to the cover, frame and spirit burner are all very clear; there is slight wear to the hallmarks to the body in keeping with age and location.

Dear Mr Campbell Thank you very much for sending the pearl necklace: it arrived only a couple of days after purchase, beautifully wrapped and packaged, at 8.30am - so you have a first rate courier service! Could I also say how pleasant and how helpful the girl I spoke to on the telephone was. Her enthusiasm for the necklace, and for the quality of your products, decided me when I was not quite sure this was the item I wanted. Cheerfulness, enthusiasm and courtesy are not often encountered in this kind of call. It was a real pleasure!
So congratulations on your staff! Very best wishes TJ G
Cheriton Bishop, Exeter, UKDear Mr Campbell Making purchases from half way round the world is always an interesting experience. You do the best you can and hope. I can say, with no rear of contradiction, that my dealings with AC Silver and Andrew Campbell is certainly worthy of Front Bench status.
The two George III bottle neck rings were of the first quality, and thoroughly described and generously photographed. The transaction itself was smooth and without flaw. Packing and shipping were without incident and arrival was exactly on time.
It was the \'poster child\' for an ideal transaction. Thank you LG, Venerable Wine Paraphenalia,
