This is a beautiful Silver and cut glass ink well. It could be from the Netherlands and be .833 silver. It measures 4\" tall with the top on by 3\" wide. I\'m not sure to age but could be as early as 1842 don\'t know. There are some scratches around the top of theglass next to the silver probably from cleaning over the years as well as roughness on some of the cut edges. There is what I thought was a crack to one of the top corners of the glass but it does not go through the surface of the glassso I would probably call it a heat check. It is hard to see or photograph. This is a very unusual piece that I\'m sure any collector would love to have
