Up for your offerding pleasure is this super rare streamline art deco lamp sculpture depicting the Empire State building. The light sculpture was designed by Japanese artist Takahashi Denson for Midori (Japan, 20th century), circa 1980s. I am the original owner and it works perfectly. I have moved quite a few times since 1985 when I bought it sounfortunately it has a small dent on one side. It is not veryapparent though and you only notice it if facing that side of the lamp when it is on and you are looking for it. It isn\'t cracked through thank goodness- just indentedslightly. Otherwise the lamp looks terrific. Please see the pictures and ask any questions before offerding as The Sale is Final.
The Midori Empire State Building lamp was featured in several 1980s movies, including \"Cobra\" with Sylvester Stallone in 1986, \"Coming to America\" with Eddie Murphy in 1988, \"Big\" with Tom Hanks and Elizabeth Perkins in 1988.
The piece was created using a rigid opaque acrylic and when turned on the windows and architectural details come to life. The lamp looks amazing. Displays beautifully!Measures approximately - 38\" tall 10 1/4\" wide x 8 5/8\" deep
