A stunning late 19c french clock with porcelain panelsof oriental style and dating to C1890/1900. Wonderful quality and possibly made for the Chinese/Asian market. Beautiful cobalt blue/turquoise/gilt porcelain panels with butterflies and flowers and seated figure playing a musical instrument. The panels are signed on the back and in perfect condition with no damage whatsoever. The Gilt brass case retains the original lacquer finish and as you can see is in totally original condition. The 8 day movement with half and full hour strike is working well and has a fully stamped and numbered back plate and is complete with key and pendulum. Standing 15.5 inches high[40cm] x 9 ins wide at the base[23cm] x 5 ins deep[13cm]. A beautiful and high quality clock in good working order in original condition and being unusual in its oriental style. Fabulous porcelain panels make this clock really stand out.
