This sale is for a stunning antique oil lamp. I believe it is an old whale oil lamp. It was made Circa mid to late 1800\'s. Attributed to the Boston Sandwich glass company in the North East. The glass font is absolutely beautiful and very unique. It is ruby red overlay cased glass over a clear glass center. The ruby red glass has been beautifully hand cut to expose the clear underneath. The cuts are done in a 4 cut pattern which resembles a flower. It has the original antique brass or bronze square base foot with brass mounts on top. The original brass burner insert and attached ring for mounting a chimney or shade on it. There is a wick in it. But it is a replacement wick. It is in excellent condition with no damage. Old original patina intact on metal. Measures approx. 8-1/2\" by 4\".
