This is for a stunning old Victorian desktop seal with an ornate solid 9ct gold mount. The handle is a lovely blue turquoise stone which has been carved with bevelled sides and steeped edges on the very top. The matrix is carnelian agate stone which has been engraved with a nice detailedarmorial intaglio with a pair of wings at the top. It is afabulous lookingseal, the colours of turquoise, carnelian and gold are superb together, its a very eye-catching old sealwith good detail to the cut intaglio andit is in absolute excellent condition too.The gold tests as 9ct and it measures 60mm (2.3\") tall and is 18mm (0.75\") by 17mmat thetop of the handle.
