This is a stunning Art Deco Period 18ct Gold Ring c1930, which is claw set with an oval Opal that has good green & pink fire andmeasures approx\' 13mm x 10mm surrounded by sixteen gorgeous round faceted Sapphires (please see the detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral part of the item\'s description).
As shown in the photographs this superb quality Opal & Sapphire Ring, which weighs a substantial 4.3 grams, is marked \'18ct\' inside the shank confirming that it is made from solid 18ct Gold i.e it is not goldplated.
Overall this very fine ring is in great condition with only very light wear commensurate with age,asshown, however the Opal has a very small area with a light brown tinge (much less obvious to the naked eye than in the photographs, which I have taken at x5 magnification to provide potential buyers with images equivalent to viewingthroughaloupe). Please note that Opal is a natural gemstone and Iron deposits in the natural rock formations containing Opal naturally cause this colouring to occur.
In summary, this is a fine quality genuine vintage Art Deco Opal & Sapphire Ring, whichlooks absolutely stunning when worn; it is sized as a UK Ring Size \'M\', or US Ring Size \'6 1/4\' - just sublime.
